I changed my Apple ID but my Apple Watch is still set to the old user ID.

I changed my apple ID but my iwatch is still set to the old user ID. I can't get it to reset, any suggestions besides waiting in line at the apple store?

unpair the watch (keep mobile plan if you have one). Then sign out of your apple id on the iPhone. Sign back into your iPhone and then re-pair.
