Is the LG UltraFine 5K Display when hooked to a 2019 Mac Pro a true 10bpc monitor?

True 10bpc is critical to my workflow. If not true 10-bit per channel, does the high frame rate averaging and simulation of 10bpc truly yield 10bpc, or as close to 10-bit as possible using 8 bits with extraordinay 10-boy averaging/simulation? I need an accurate representation of 10-bit for accurate color grading and so much more.

I don't know whether to purchase the LG 5K monitor, or whether to seek out a true 10bpc monitor. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated, including other monitor options, excluding the spectacular but unaffordale new XDR Apple monitor, which I understand is most probably the best monitor for 10-bit and HDR in existence.

Again, any and all suggestions, potential solutions for serious 10-bit grading will be more than greatly appreciated. I very much wish the new XDR was within my budget, as the perfect compliment to the 2019 loaded Mac Pro.

With no professional response, and having read about flicker with FRC 10-bit simulation, I have decided to go with the BenQ PD3220U 4k true 10-bit monitor. There are still "renewed" versions of this robust Thunderbolt 3 monitor on Amazon for $959. I will try to post my results as well as having only a 4K monitor instead of 5K, with at least some editing of 4K video. Wish me luck! Jay/Atlanta
