Multiple MIDI Signals from Single MIDI Device / Turntables and Animation ?

Hello.

I am using brand new Rane Twelve MIDI Turntables with the goal of driving audio and animation simultaneously. Originally I hoped to use Serato (for the audio) with Houdini (for the animation) but Serato steals the MIDI Signals from the Turntables and prevents me from using them at the same time in Houdini. I was trying to use BOME TOOL to bypass this limitation. But it did not work. I then tried to use Virtual DJ 2020 in place of Serato, while still using BOME TOOL to pass the MIDI signals simultaneously to Houdini. However I am running into a similar issue as I did with Serato. If I enable the ports on Bome Tool first for the Turntables before launching Virtual DJ then the default MIDI mappings become unavailable as the signal/port is already in use. The only other option is to enable Bome Tool in Virtual DJ and create custom MIDI mappings to drive the audio, something Serato does not allow. However even in Virtual DJ I am running into the problem of not being able to drive the audio from custom MIDI mappings, probably because I am too inexperienced to know how to set it up in that software (Virtual DJ).

This is where Apple comes in.

I understand that a MacBookPro would allow me to bypass the Windows limitation of One MIDI Device=One Port Only. So is it true? Should I buy a new MBP so that I can route MIDI from a single MIDI Turntable to Virtual DJ (via BomeTool) and Houdini (via BomeTool) at the same time?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Happy New Year!
