Is there any easy way to retrieve the deleted file?

I accidentally deleted an EXCEL workbook that was saved in mail download file in the library, and emptied the trash as well !!!!!!!

If you don't have a backup containing the file, it's gone.

The file was in the downloaded to my mac however saved in the library>data files! And I deleted it from there, unfortunately after making important changes!
