I was told my apple has been locked so I clicked on and it wanted my Social Security number. I want to know if it’s safe

Absolutely not. Whatever site you're seeing that on, it's not Apple. It's a criminal trying to steal your personal information.
Apple does not ever send out such messages, or make blind phone calls saying anything similar.
