Wind speed in knots

My wind speed is shown in kilometres per hour and I need it in knots. Km/h means nothing to me. Does anyone care about wind speed other than sailors??

Hello mojika,

It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:

  1. What app on your Apple Watch do you have this issue with?
  2. What region is your Apple Watch and iPhone set to?
  3. What version of watchOS and iOS are currently installed on your devices?

Please provide as many details as you can and thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I have the same question. I’m a pilot, and you can tell, because it is one of the first things I said to you.

  1. I’m using the Wind Complication on the Infograph Watch face
  2. United States (of America)
  3. iOS 13.3, WatchOS: 6.1.1

In general, I don’t know why you need this information before giving us information, but there it is.

Here is the question I have:

How do I set the units for the Wind complication?

Here is what I’ve done:

  1. Looked for the Wind app. It doesn’t exist on my phone or Watch
  2. The weather app doesn’t have any units of measure
  3. Searching the Watch App for ‘Wind’ yields ‘Within 2 minutes of Last Use’, ‘Wi-Fi Address’, ‘Within 1 Hour of Last Use’, ‘Control with silent mode’, ‘Unlock with iPhone’, and ‘Driving with Carplay’, none of which seem to be intuitively involved with wind, with the exception of ‘Control with Silent Mode’ and breaking wind.
  4. Searching for ‘knots’ yields ‘Keynote’, ‘Kitchen Stories’, and ‘Summoners War’ which are also not intuitive for setting wind speed units.
  5. Since other pages (namely the Watch Faces descriptions in the User guide) specify that ‘Wind’ is available, I am making the conclusion that this included with WatchOS, as I also have Dexcom G6, and that is not listed, yet is available as a complication on the Infographics face.
  6. I have done a number of searches with Bing and have not come up with a web site that details how to set wind speed in knots on the wind complication.

I hope this is enough detail for you to help solve this problem I’m having.
