Apple Music Subscription

I was with Sprint and subscribed to Apple Music paying a monthly fee off ~$15.month. I switched to Verizon and a plan that includes apple music. What do I have to do to cancel monthly plan when I was Sprint and switch to the Verizon plan?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 13

including the following:


You're still eligible to receive Apple Music with your plan even if you’re already a subscriber. Once you redeem the subscription and link your Apple ID, you'll be prompted within the Apple Music app to cancel one of your subscriptions. Cancelling with Apple will continue your Apple Music subscription on us.
