Apple has to give me a new iPhone

Hello , I was wondering if you could answer me this question, approximately 2 years ago, in February 2018 I went to USA and I bought an iPhone 7 Plus , the problem was that it’s turn on and off button wasn’t working well , it was really sensitive to touch, so approximately one year ago , in February 2019 I went to Spain , and I ask in an apple store If they could solve this problem because it was really annoying so, the person who helped me told me that he couldn’t gave me a new iPhone because I had borrow it in USA , and he told me that if I go to USA in a lapse of 2 years they could give me a new one, is this right ?

If your iPhone is from the US, it is correct that it cannot be replaced in Spain. The warranty is only valid in the US. However, the warranty on an iPhone is only 1-year, unless you purchased AppleCare+, which would extend it to two years, and the problem is a warranty problem. Otherwise, if the warranty is expired, then you would have to pay for a replacement.

You can only get your iPhone serviced in the USA, where you originally bought the phone. Your warranty is only valid in the country of purchase, and also, since you bought your iPhone in February of 2018, the one-year warranty period is also over.

Juanmaa ~ iPhone 7 Plus doesn't have a button called an "on and off button". It has a Home/Touch ID sensor and a Side button. ...If you're referring to the Home/Touch ID sensor, be aware of this:
