"iPad is disabled ... try again in 1hour".

My iPad won't let me connect to open. I get the above message "iPad is disabled ... try again in 1hour", (an the about if time counts down to 1 minutes, then goes back to 1hour. I've seen response saying, if it says: (1) connect to iTunes, or (2) if there's no time listed ... do such & such. But, it never said what to do if it says "try again in __ minutes". Please help, would like to use my iPad.
