In the mac Mail app where do I find what the icons mean for each email in the inbox and mail folders

I mean the icons that can appear next to each email in the inbox like this...
but it looks like they're the same as the ones in the ribbon above so I think that answers my question, unless there are other icons next to the emails that aren't in the above ribbon.
At the ribbon, right click on a free space and left click on 'adjust button ribbon ' Then choose between options
