I recently purchased a new phone for my son and planned to trade in his old phone. However, he cracked his screen before the box arrived. Can I submit a different phone than the one I indicated when I upgraded? I listed a iphone X but I'll be trading an iphone 7. Of course I need the price is different.

We are all users on this user to user forum. You need to contact Apple directly to ask about trading in a different phone than you promised. And yes, the value of the 7 will be less than the X.
