How can I boot into the computer when i can't install a mac os to my iMac (2011) due to there being no hard drive available. No hard drive appeares on disk utilities either. The only thing that pops up is disk0 and super drive.

Yes the hard drive can be replaced. However because of the age of the computer and the replacement cost, it would be best to just replace the computer with a new or newer iMac.
