2013 MacPro suddenly runs VERY SLOW

It's a quad core 3.7ghz with 12gb Apple ram, 256GB Apple SSD. It's so slow I think my G5 MacPro would outperform it at this point. I booted the Mac Pro from my external SSD, trying both 10.12 and 10.13, no improvement over booting from internal 240gb NVMe. Disk Warrior 5 found minor errors (dates, etc) TechTool Pro 11 found nothing. I tried to zap the PRAM but after the 1st tone it shut down (strange-never had that happen b4 on any of my Macs). I tried that 4 times-each time results in the shutdown. Activity Monitor shows over 80% of CPU being used by kernel_task.

The problem started after a power outage on Xmas Eve. It was plugged into an expensive CyberPower UPS at the time of outage.

I hope someone can help as it is really unusable as is.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

˜What all 3rd party extensions are you running?

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.
