Iphone locked

I just moved to Singapore and will be staying here for the coming 4 months. I bought a sim card and it says that the sim card is not supported by some policy and it is some kind of region lock. I contacted my operator Tele2 from Sweden and they said that they do not have any lock and that i should contact apple. Please help me as soon as possible.
