I can’t switch to mobile site after going to the desktop site. Is it a bug?
My device: iPhone 5s

I forgot you're asking about iOS 12. Do you see the reload button to the right of the domain name? Press and hold it until options appear where you can choose mobile version.

Problem is, there is no “aA” icon. I saw that icon on an iPhone 7 Plus though which is updated to iOS 13.
When I hold that it shows the option to request desktop version. But the website is already in desktop version.
Do you see in upper left hand corner aA? Tap that and you should see Request Mobile Site.
