How to properly clean the screen of a Macbook Pro 16-inch

This may seem like a dumb question but I’d love to know how to properly clean the screen of a Macbook Pro 16-inch?

My last MBP keyboard left imprint on the screen and it also looked pretty scruffy.

Thank you

MacBook Pro 16", macOS 10.15

To clean the screen on your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air, first shut down the computer and unplug the power adapter. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water only, then use it to clean the computer's screen.

MacBook Pro models from 2016 and later with Touch Bar and Touch ID: Clean the Touch Bar and Touch ID (power button) on these computers the same way you would clean the display. Shut down your Mac and unplug the power adapter. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water only, then use it to clean the Touch Bar and Touch ID.

Thank you Leroy.

One issue I’m having is when I shut down my computer, if I press ANY key or chick the trackpad, my MBP boots right up. Any thoughts as to why it does this?

This is the new normal on newer machines— a supposed feature(?)

Thanks again Leroy for your assistance.

if this is the new normal, wouldn’t it be harmful to be wiping all the keys and trackpad per my original post about cleaning?

i very much appreciate your time.

Well this is the issue—

It does not seem Apple clearly thought through the process...
