Downloading photos from iCloud

I know that Apple now make photos downloaded from iCloud go into a zip file, but when I try to open the zip file it says it’s empty or corrupt. What can I do? Thanks

iCloud zip photo Hi I’m downloading photos one by one from iCloud to my pc. Most of them download fine but some will only download as a zip. I cant figure out why some download as normal jpegs and then others as a zip. I thought it would only zip them if I was downloading a group of photos. Can an someone help as I just want to have to use zip files. Thanks
