Slideshow - other software then Apple?

Since Slideshows in Apple really don't have the attention from Apple and does have now even more problems in Catalina beside a limited number of functions I wonder does someone have recommendations for a really good slideshow app/software?

Photos shouldn't be duplicated and it should be able to use Apples library....

Are there any experiences to expert slide shows from this app and run in AppleTV etc.

MacBook Pro 16", macOS 10.15

What do you expect of a slideshow?

Do you want to create a video or do you want a presentation with Photos and titles, some animation and the ability to pause individual slides, step back a few slides to talk about the photos?

Many slideshow tools will just create a video, where it will be difficult to control the presentation, and to navigate between individual slides, and the quality of individual photos will be video quality.

If you want the ability to navigate between slides, to structure the presentation into sections, and to add captions to the photos, consider Keynote.

Alternatives to Photos slideshow include:

iMovie is on every Mac sold.

Others, in order of price:

PhotoToMovie  $49.95

PulpMotion  $129

FotoMagico $99

Final Cut Pro X $299

It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

Thanks Terence, I looked through everything and finally I think its getting FotoMagico as they also have preset themes etc.

One other question, is it then also possible or where can I read or see that this videos can be stored in the Apple TV under home videos?

I checked the file extension for home videos created by apple / projects / slideshow which is .m4v

As I am a big fan of having my videos available at all my apple products I am wondering is it then also possible to sync them and have them in home videos available
