Enabling mms on ipad
I am unable to enable mms on iPad. Followed directions for enabling on iPhone but it doesn’t work on the pad since there isn’t any text message forwarding to click off as instructed.
iPad, iOS 13

Text Message forwarding is done on the iPhone, not the iPad. You should be able to go to Text Message forwarding on your iPhone, so long as they are logged into the same Apple ID, and then you should see the iPad listed there to turn on Text Message forwarding.

Thanks for the attempted help, Chris, but this does not solve the problem. I am able to send texts via iPad but not photos/videos. When I try to do so, the message"MMS must be enabled". Then I go through the same drill with the iPhone, turning off the text message forwarding, enabling the iPad for texts but the necessary "text message forwarding" does not show up on the iPad, only the iPhone.
Text message forwarding is not going to show up on the iPad. It will only show up on the iPhone. Then in the iPhone settings after tapping on Text Message forwarding, you should find a list of devices that you are also signed into with the same Apple ID and you just turn on the switch for the iPad. Make sure that MMS is turned on for the iPhone and that cellular data is turned on for the iPhone as well.
Chris, all you suggested has already been done and I still am unable to send photos from iPad to an android device. The message "cannot send; "MMS must be enabled" still pops up. You have been very explicit in your explanations and I have been equally as diligent. Think I'll go to a Verizon store for help. Thank you.
If you have MMS enabled on the iPhone, you also need to have cellular data turned on. If that is not working, then Verizon is going to have to check to make sure that SMS/MMS is enabled on your account. They control the sending/receiving of SMS/MMS to non-iOS devices.
Yes, cellular data is turned on on the iPhone. Will check with Verizon. Thanks again for your help:)
You're welcome.
