"Other" file invasion

The "other" file has completely taken over my Iphone 6S plus. Its currently over 63.6 gb of 64 gb. I've erased all content and date, tried reset after reset but that file has only grown. There are no other files except Apple's on the phone (some of them I erased). Is this Apple way of forcing me to buy a phone? How do I get rid of this file???

Hi there MCarlo2000,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand 'Other' is taking up a majority of your iPhone storage, and I would like to help with this.

It sounds like you did a good job with the steps you've taken already. What type of reset did you perform exactly? This support article offers an explanation of what the 'Other' category is when viewing your device storage: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support. Have you followed each recommendation in this support article already? If so, I would recommend making sure you are using the latest iOS version available for your device: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. You may need to use your computer to perform the update, since your iPhone storage may likely not have enough room to perform the update over-the-air.

If the same concern remains, you'll need to reach out to Apple Support next, so they can further investigate the device storage. Use this link to connect: Contact - Official Apple Support.

Best regards.
