Printer not Working

I have an HP 9800 and ever since installing on new MacBook Pro, I get a message ""waiting for printer to become available". It worked fine with my previous Macbook. It is communicating and goes through all the routine and then stops at this message.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.15
