requesting old Apple ID and password to update apps

Does anyone have a solution for this, I transitioned off my mom's Apple ID probably 6 years ago and am just now having it request her password in order to update some of the apps on my phone. It has never done this and I do not have access to her or her password, even though that doesn't feel like it would really solve the problem anyway. I have tried redownloading the apps in question but it doesn't seem to matter.
