Only the paid, extended, two-year AppleCare+ plan covers accidental/incidental user damage and two accidents ( 1 incident per year ).

The free, standard, one-year AppleCare ( no plus sign at the end ) does NOT cover this type of damage.'

The free, one-year AppleCare only covers manufacturing defects and issues.

Did you pay for the extended, two-year AppleCare+ plan?
