Editing MacOS picture using Markup on iPad / iPhone

I can edit a picture on the iPad which I have open on MacOS.

Bluetooth is on.

However When I draw on the iPad, the changes are not reflected on the MacBook Pro.

Any ideas, please? (This is an original pencil and the original iPad).
