midi services not available

every now and then (almost 50/50) when i open logic i get a warning saying midi services not available and my midi keyboard wont work.

i already deleted all midi drivers i used to have but this keeps happening, is this some sort of bug? is there another solution for this issue other than closing and opening logic again? this has been ongoing since the last update

Most of the time, this error message means that Logic timed out when initializing CoreMIDI. Logic can be picky to that respect.

There could be many causes. You said "i already deleted all midi drivers i used to have". Which drivers and for what?

Meanwhile you can try the following:

Unplug the mk3 and the scarlet.

Power off the computer and restart. Wait few minutes.

Plug back your devices.

Any changes?

If not you can try the following workaround:

With Logic closed (Command-Q).

Open the MIDI studio in the Audio MIDI Setup utility. Keep it open.

Start Logic.

Any changes?

Hope that helps,
