Problems login into Facebook through apps and safari but not chrome

As the title says FB platform (messenger and facebook) is not working at all on my phone, I get various login issues (same in safari mind you). if i try to reset password my account doesn't exist and so on and so on. I have tried to reboot the phone several times. Reinstalling the app, trying other accounts and so on to no avail. Funnily enough through chrome it all works a treat. I got the phone the 30th and I'm new to apple product so hopefully someone can help me out a bit :)

So, let me see if I understand you correctly. Are you just trying to log into Facebook and Messages in Safari and Chrome? Then Chrome is the only one that works, or are you also trying the Facebook and Messenger apps? In Settings>Safari>go to Clear History and Website data and tap on that to clear your history and cookies. Then power the iPhone off and back on again and try again.

Do you have iOS 13.3 installed on the iPhone? I don't use the apps, and very rarely sign into Facebook on my iPhone, but I've not experienced a problem logging into it with Safari. I just tested again and was able to login no problem to my Facebook account on my iPhone 11 Pro, using Safari. I would still reach out to Facebook and ask them about this issue with Safari and see what they say. Make sure that you share that you were able to login with Chrome.

Facebook and Messenger are not Apple products, so you would need to reach out to Facebook for help with your problem.

Well when i got the phone i added the individual apps, they would not log in for anything in the world, i then tried safari and the exact same thing occured, i then tried chrome and that went fine. I will try and to that (all though this was my first use of safari as well) I'm a iphone virgin as it were so i might be missing something very obvious for others i don' know

But safari is as far as i know and that has the exact same problem, only chrome works for some reason?

I did update yes, after clearing no difference in Safari as well. really odd problem i must say. I shall follow your advice and see if they might be able to answer. Thank you for your time

Ah yes It also states that the account doesn't exist if i try to reset the password, the very same one working in Chrome, pc and android and so forth. Found this to be really odd
