An alert message popped

When I was browsing through safari a message popped up and it said that I got a virus and that I should tap on a button that said confirm to save my iPhone from that virus and I don’t know if it is real

Such popup messages are scams.m Close the offending page, and avoid sites that are involved in such bogus advertising tactics.
