How do I get my MacBook air screen cleared of lightning bolt and the plug icon?

System Preferences > Energy Saver

Uncheck the box "Show battery status in the menu bar".

"sam's macbook pro" screen I have this setting on my macbook pro that I updated a while back and I don't remember how to undo it. Essentially, after a minute, my macbook pro screen will go black and will have "Sam's Macbook Pro" flashing on the screen along with the apple logo.
