You can't set up the iPhone without a SIM installed.
I am replacing an android phone. Must I set up the iPhone first and then do my SIM card. Or must I put the SIM card in before setting up the new phone.. the SIM card will be the same one being taken out of the old android phone.

Not sure how the Android system works but can't the LG work just on WiFi?
Put the SIM card in the iPhone and leave the LG on Wi-Fi. Set up the iPhone with the SIM card in it.

This is a new iPhone. It is a replacement for a Verizon LG phone. The LG currently has the SIM card in it. When I turn on the iPhone it starts with a Hello screen. Next screen asks for language. I will be using the “transfer to iOS” app on the LG. Can I do any of this before changing the SIM card. If I must change it how will the LG work without a SIM card. I am confused.
