The tab shortcut is not working anymore with the Catalina 10.15.2 update (I mean when interacting with the operating system). Any alternative?

no. I mean switching buttons, tabs and separators. E.g.: control+eject to open the shutdown panel and then switch from the default button selection which is shutdown to for example restart. The "tab" key has been for decades and still is the universal shortcut to do it. And now is not working. I'll make a video...

funny thing... I didn't know it was possible to switch that off. And I can't even see the advantage of it. But thanks a lot!

Do you mean command + tab? It works here.
You're welcome. FWIW, I never use the keyboard to navigate the dialog boxes in the first place so I don't know if the default is on or off. :)
