Any way to lock OS X to Facetime and disable keyboard / trackpad use?

We use my macbook to facetime the grandparents with my one year old who then of course goes nuts and slams the keyboard and trackpad - I'd love a way to turn off the keyboard / touchbar / touchpad while using facetime so that we don't have to just keep moving the laptop away from him. Any ideas?

Yes, a few. You'd have to go to system Preferences, then Accessibility......here's how to do that.....

for cat, substitute toddler.......

and there's Karabiner, which also allows you to turn off the keyboard as well....

you probably can connect your macbook to your TV, depending on the model....might be usb-c to hdmi,

and a Mac compatible webcam that clips to the top of the tv......

eh........it's not much to go on......
