AppleTv not connecting to Google Drive thru EasyCloud

You would need to reach out to Easycloud as it would be an issue occurring within their app. It would be up to Google to create an app for Google drive.

I have the same problem.

A couple of days ago the app asked me for an access code when I tried to access my Google Drive through it. At the time I didn't have the time to muck around it. When I tried to access my Google Drive through the app last night and today, it showed a spinning wheel and “Authenticating your Account. Please wait”. After considerable waiting, it kicks me out of the app and back to the Apple TV home page.

In going to reinstall the app today I noticed that there are quite a number of different EasyCloud apps for different combinations of cloud services. I know last week there were only two EasyCould apps as I went to instal the one I used on a friend's Apple TV. I thought therefore that maybe the app I was using had been replaced by one of the new EasyCloud apps . I tried the new free EasyCould app, which looks identical to the "pro" app that I paid something like $5 for. It had the same problem.

Mum just told me that she can access her Google Drive using the EasyCloud app on her Apple TV without problem. Both of us are using the latest Apple TVOS. I am too scared to try accessing my Google Drive on her Apple TV in case it then doesn't work for her either. I haven't been able to check with my friend as she didn't know the password for her husband's iTunes account and therefore wasn't able to purchase the app.

I have just sent an email to EasyCloud support. Will let you know how I go.

Right, so EasyCloud support emailed me back saying the issue had been resolved and it has.

I was able to log into my account with both the free and pro app. The difference being that the free app only allows you to see items that are saved on your Google Drive. Items that are shared by others to your Google Drive come up as locked icons.
