Front facing/ selfie camera iPhone XS

I just upgraded from iPhone 7 to iPhone XS and I have a issue. The front facing camera has some sort of filter when taking selfies. The skin gets very smooth and it just looks terrible and unrealistic. I know it had the same problem when the phone released, and that it was fixed in IOS 12.1. I have IOS 13.3 now and it is still very bad. My friend with a iPhone X and I compared the two and it is a huge difference. My iPhone 7 looks even better. It’s very annoying and sort of ugly. I’m hoping there is a way to turn this off or that a new update comes out. It is so bad that I’m going to return the iPhone XS and go back to the iPhone 7 if it doesn’t get fixed. (Also I’m having a problem with both cameras on Snapchat, they both are very dark and I have to use flash almost every time and the pictures are extremely zoomed in. This might be Snapchats problem, but I’m throwing it in here).
