iMac 2019 lag

Hello everyone,

I have recently purchased a new iMac 2019, 16GB Ram, 1TB Hard Drive.

I purchased the iMac as an upgrade from my Macbook Pro which had 4gb ram. I only really use Logic Pro X and Rekordbox.

The iMac is terribly slow and often lags or freezes. More or less every application takes a while to load up and when on it is common for the little curser to be spiraling.

It is frustrating as the MacBook actually works better than the new iMac

Has anyone else been experiencing these issues?
