So I’ve tried using my iPad iOS 12.4.4 & iphone iOS13.3 to make a purchase/rental. I’ve checked in app purchases are allowed on my devices & card details are up to date. However, when trying to purchase/rent I get the below messsage (pic)
I saw an answer from last year that got a little silly & out of context, so thought I’d try to get a simple, straightforward answer! Thank you in advance

Amazon doesn't allow in-app purchases for either Kindle or Amazon video from the iOS apps. They don't want to give the 20% cut to Apple.
The work around is to log into Amazon through your browser and make the purchase that way. It will then become available in the Amazon app.
