Ignore Limit on Screen Time

Does anyone know if Apple has done anything to fix the issues with screen time? It worked in my children’s old phone but now they are able to simply ignore limits without a password.

Hello Keesiya,

I want to help make sure that your Screen Time settings are in place for your children's iPhone's, and that those settings are working correctly. First, review the steps on this page: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you need support after going through the steps on this page, I'd need a few details from you:

  • What type of iPhone does your child/children use? Which version of the software is on the/each device?
  • When you enabled Screen Time, did you enable and create the settings from the device directly, or did you use Family Sharing to configure your child’s device from your own device?
  • Also, when creating these Screen Time settings, did you make sure to choose a passcode that's different from the passcode that is used to unlock the device?

Please get back to me with this information, so I can better assist.

Best regards!
