Two USB mics recording in garageband but the tracks have different speeds

I am using 2 USB mics to record my voice on one track and my friends voice on another for our podcast. We finally got them to record at the same time BUT one track sounds like a chipmunk and the other one is just fine. I literally just want to be able to record our voices on separate tracks so I can adjust the volume per person as needed. How do I get these mics to record our voices accurately?

garageband I am starting a podcast and I wish to record it on Garage Band. I have 2 sets of headphones and two USB in Mic's. I have a splitter for the two headphones to line in to the Mac OR I can jack straight into the Mic's. What I'm unable to do when my headphones are plugged in is hear my co-host talking to his mic on my headphones and Vise versa. is there a quick fix? Settings issue I'm unaware of? Any help would be appretiated folks
