How do I rip CD's into my music library with this new Apple Music app?

Please tell me there's a way to still rip CD's?

Ripped CD files disappeared from Apple Music I have about 1000 CDs I ripped into Apple Music. Combined with the few albums I have purchased through Apple Music Store I have, or should have, in excess of 3800 tracks. Music now cannot find 1500+ tracks. These are purchased CDs collected for 37 years. It is a hell of a chore to sample them. Why? I have them on an external drive and when I search the folder I pointed Music to, they are just gone. I also have missing tracks whenI sync to my iPhone. Again, why? Life os too short to keep ripping them.
