Yes, after you choose "Reset", you are presented with a second choice of "Reset and Update" or "Reset Only". That downloaded successfully and applied the updates.

It is equivalent to a factory reset, so you need to re-download all apps (the easiest way is to set it up by holding the iPhone close, then in the app store just install apps from the "Not on this device" section).

Apple is working on a fix for this , it might be a few days if you can wait and see if the updates will work then.

I talked to Apple support. It is a Known issue I have tried everything except connecting Apple TV directly to the modem with Ethernet cable. Trying that later. Used a hot spot connection used different WiFi connection restarted Apple TV reset and update option and still won’t update. Very frustrating.

Thanks, I fixed mine by selecting "Reset" from the System menu, which then offers you the "Reset and Update" option. This successfully updated to 13.3.

Set your Apple TV to automatically update so it will install when it’s ready.

I was afraid to try it. Lol. I’ll try tomorrow. So you did a reset and update? I think I saw only options for restart and then one for restore. I messed with it for over an hour. My brain hurts.

Well that didn’t work. It would not update and reset. Tried again and it froze. Hopefully Apple is aware. Hopefully update not that important.

Hmm, yeah, mine wasn't freezing to begin with, just complaining immediately that the update failed (and something about "can't complete purchase".
