Is there a way to sync iPhone Calendar with Exchange without using ActiveSync?

I want to view my work Exchange calendar on my iPhone (iOS 13.2.3). I do this on my Mac by accepting meeting invites through Mail.

I see the suggestion to use ActiveSync:

However that gives the Exchange admin the ability to erase my phone (which is outrageous given that the user appears to only be setting up syncing certain items, like Calendar events)

Is there another way to sync the Calendar? For example, could I have Mail copy the meeting invites to my iCloud calendar?

Hi, Anacapa88,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you'd like to sync your work Exchange account with your iPhone without using Microsoft's ActiveSync to do it. I'm happy to give you some information!

While ActiveSync is the typical way to sync your Exchange with your iOS device, Microsoft also offers an Outlook for iOS app that may provide the options you want, without the options you don't: Set up email in Outlook for iOS mobile app - Office Support.

For more information on syncing your Exchange account with your iPhone, I can recommend reaching out to your IT administrator, or Microsoft directly: Contact Us – Microsoft Support.

Have a good day.
