If bought it Thailand it will work in Thailand.

If bought in another country, it will depend on where you buy it.

In most countries, only Apple sells truly unlocked devices. If you buy it from a different store that sells iPhones it is likely to be locked to a particular carrier, or at the very least require activation on a local carrier, and this generally locks the iPhone to that carrier.

Also note that, warranty will only be valid in the country of purchase, so if anything happens to the iPhone in Thailand, it will need to be physically returned to the country of purchase for warranty service and repair or replacement. Apple does not take international shipments for warranty service.

Yes, an unlocked iPhone from Apple directly should work in Thailand with a Thai carrier and its sim card.
