AirPod Pro Silicone Tips -- We need a better solution.

First bought them, when released, and the medium tips fit perfectly. So secure. Then they loosened up after a few days or so. No problem - maybe I got the wrong fit. Switched to large tips and the same situation - perfect fit followed by too loose to stay in after a few days. How could that be? I didn't suddenly get larger ear canals and I don't think that the silicone tips would shrink.

This got me thinking about my work ear plugs. We have custom molded silicone earplugs supplied for us. The company, upon issuing the plugs, provide care instructions. And along with those care instructions is a small tube of (what I assume to be) Vasoline. The instructions are for us to lube the ear plugs with this Vasoline for the first week or so of wearing them as the silicone is too dry to easily slide into and out of the ears. After about a week or two we are instructed that we won't need that Vasoline any longer and that our ear wax would be enough to maintain the "slipperiness" of the ear plugs.

I suspect that this is occurring with these tips. Our ear wax is "moisturizing" the silicone and, therefore, facilitating them slipping out.

Without getting all conspiracy theorist - Apple knew this about the tips. How could they not? A counterpoint to that is that there just isn't a better solution at the moment.

My point is that, surely by now, APPLE KNOWS about this, if not only by the amount of complaints in these communities. So where is the better solution, Apple? Are you even listening?

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple doesn't read here for suggestions. If you want to let Apple know your thoughts, you can use the feedback page:

The volume of complaints on this issue appears very low.
