Since I upgraded to Catalina, for movies and tv shows that I download torrents I found out now that Vuze cannot convert file torrents into Apple formats. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anyway to get to work?

Upgrade Vuze to the most current version. Check that it's compatible with Catalina - See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps. Contact the developer for more assistance since Vuze is not an Apple product.
FWIW, a torrent file cannot be "converted". It's a pointer to a location online. It has no content to convert. If it points to a media file, the file will be downloaded. Either the file is in a format your Mac can play or not. Most torrent sites contain pirated material.
And they also frequently contain unwanted additions such as malware, adware, etc. So , if you do the right thing and pay for stuff you want to watch, you will not have a problem playing it on your Mac, Apple TV, etc
Happy, thanks. Vuze is supposed to be compatible (as per Roaring) and I've the latest version but still it will not convert anything to iTunes format. Any ideas? Thanks.
What is the format to which you are converting? iTunes only accepts a few formats, reliably. I've not had problems with ".mp3" for music and ".mp4" for video. I think iTunes may also accept ".acc".
I'm having the same issue since Catalina OS did away with itunes and replaced it with TV app. Vuze used to download files to an itunes library folder but now can't find a TV app folder to try it.

Indeed. I usually don't warn people about malware on torrent sites. I figure they get what they deserve.
