I created and shared a collaborative note but I am no longer going to be involved with the project and would like to hand over ownership (and control) of the note to another team member. Can I do this (and if so how)?

From my understanding, you’d like to make another person the owner of a note that you created and invited others to. I use Notes with my family to help keep us on the same page, so I’d be happy to help.
While you’re not able to transfer ownership of the note, other parties can copy the information contained within the note, paste it into their own note and add others. That being said, I’d suggest that provide Product Feedback to Apple regarding this feature as well.
Once the new note has been created and yours is no longer in use, you can stop sharing the note using the steps found here: Share notes on iCloud.com - Apple Support
