I transfered photos from my iPad mini to my computer using iTune, the transfered photos ended up in D drive. How can I retrieve the photos?

Assuming that you’re a PC, simply install Apple iCloud for Windows. This will allow you to use iCloud as a bridge between iPad/iPhone/Mac and your PC.

Do you not have access to your Windows PC’s D drive? You could navigate to the D drive within the Windows Explorer and transfer them to your preferred destination.
