Why do my emails go to Junk folders or come up as Spam when I use my @Mac.com account. If I can't use that address as my outgoing mail why would I use it at all?

There is one caveat that comes to mind—
"If you use a non-iCloud SMTP server, don't use your iCloud email address as a "Send From" address. Otherwise, your email might not deliver or it might deliver to the recipient's Junk folder."

It should work fine, so long as you send your ...@Mac.com mail out through the iCloud SMTP servers. The Mail app should automatically set up the right outgoing servers when you add an iCloud email account. The system won't prevent you from changing the outgoing server later, though.
Is there no work around? I feel like I need to switch emails if this persists. This has only started happening in the last 4-6 months - what has changed to make it happen?
