The 2019 MacBook Air does not have USB-A ports and instead has the USB-C ports. Are you talking about the 2019 MacBook Air? IF yes then you will need a USB-C to USB-A adapter. If you have any other model of MacBook Air then let us know and we will guide you in that direction. Thanks.

Which year MacBook Air is yours? If it is MacBook Air 2019 then it doesn't have the USB-A ports that you are looking to sync from.

You have two options-

  1. Get an apple USB-C to Lightning Cord and plug it directly into your MacBook Air and then the other lightning end in your iPhone OR
  2. Get a USB-C to USB-A adapter to use your current charging/sync cord
