MacBook Pro 13'' Mid-2012 Battery Replacement

I have a Macbook Pro 13-inch Mid 2012 whose battery has reached the

"Replace Soon" Condition recently. It still works perfectly and is my main work computer, so I'd like to keep it if possible, and I read online that I should go for a battery replacement. However, after contacting my local Authorized Apple Service Provider and checking with them, I received the following answer:

"Either the service/parts are not available anymore for this model ( 2012 ). This model/year is seen as vintage by apple"

Does that mean that I'm stuck with a computer whose battery will stop working "soon" and there's nothing to do about it? I have all my work in this computer, so I would like to know if it's possible to replace the battery. Could someone help me with this topic?

Thanks in advance for your help!
