My Apple Watch 3 is only showing a capacity of 3.2GB.

My Apple Watch 3 is showing a capacity of 3.2GB (I thought it should have 8GB??). I don't have any music, audiobooks or podcasts on the watch. There are 15 photos and 3 apps. I'm unable to update the software as I have 0 bytes available. Is there anything I can do to make space? I've tried resetting the device and setting up as a new watch but get the same issue. I wondered if anyone might have had this experience and know a solution I could try?

Hello jbl2020 and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I see you have a concern about storage capacity on a Series 3 Apple Watch.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If you have already done this as part of the reported reset (as opposed to just using the Erase All Content and Settings command on the Watch itself), then reach out to Apple Support for additional options.
