sync album from a new computer without replacing media on iphone

I bought a CD for the first time in years, I want to add it to my phone, however, I don't have the HDD I originally had with all my music on my phone, how can I put this album on my phone without deleting all my music... Seems like a dumb system, ngl.

You can't.

You can only sync media with one iTunes library at a time. In order to sync any content from another iTunes library, all media on the device must be deleted. You can re-sync the music from your current iTunes library, assuming you transferred it from your old one.

Sorry... I'm a little unclear on where your music resides.

If it is on the 'failed' hard drive, then it effectively doesn't exist.

When you switch iTunes libraries, you have to set up a new sync relationship between the phone and iTunes. This will result in the music on the phone being deleted entirely. You will have to re-sync the music to the phone from your library.

That's the way it's been since the beginning.
